FAQ
What is the Doyle Memorial Fund?
The Doyle Memorial Fund is donor-advised and is one of many funds within The Catholic
Foundation. The Doyle Memorial Fund was established in 2000 by Patricia and George P.
Doyle III, residents of Worthington, Ohio, in memory of T. Claudia McQuaid Doyle and
George Patrick Doyle, Jr., educators, philanthropists, and parents of George and his eleven
siblings. The fund’s function is to promote early intervention and educational support to
children of the Catholic Diocese of Columbus. The Doyle Fund provides grants to parishes
and schools for making a difference in the lives of children with learning challenges or
developmental disabilities, particularly for children with needs that are difficult to fund.
Grants are used to provide equipment or therapeutic services for our children so they may
participate fully in the parish school of their choice or parish school of religion (PSR)
programs.
What is the mission of the Doyle Memorial Fund?
“Reaching for Excellence in Early Intervention, Education, Inclusion”.
How does the Doyle Memorial Fund raise money and increase awareness of our mission?
The Doyle Memorial Fund hosts an annual dinner for children with special needs. This
dinner is open to the public and features a reception, silent auction, a keynote speaker, and
live entertainment. Last year, more than $30,000 was raised to assist children in receiving
therapies, sound amplification equipment, and durable medical equipment.
